Punching Trees - The Minecraft Experience is a family-friendly gaming event for kids in grade 2 - grade 8 where you have to work as teams, survive tough terrain and work together to beat your opponents and win great prizes.
The event is chaperoned by parent volunteers with kids in the Brandon School Division that have criminal background checks completed, volunteer (or work) at the schools regularily and love working with kids.
Brandon has never seen a gaming event like this! Be prepared to have a great day of gaming for only $40, or just join us for the morning or afternoon for just $22/session.
Everyone who comes gets a free t-shirt, some cool swag and a chance to win over $200 in prizes. Bring a bit of cash as there will be refreshments to purchase throughout the day as well as pizza, pop and chips as well as some nifty souvenirs.

We are hosting this event at the East End Community Centre, on Victoria Avenue close to the hospital. Come around back, near the water tower, as we'll be in the hall.
We will be hosting a series of creative, survivial and competitve game play. There will be moderators and admins monitoring the game to keep things clean, safe and fun. We are opening up the event to all kids in Brandon in grades 2-8, and we even split up the seasoned veterans and the kids just learning to play.
To participate you need a legitimate copy of Minecraft! Make sure you have a paid version installed on your computer and that you're able to sign in on it.
You're going to need a laptop with a network jack on it, or a tablet with working wireless. It looks like a phone jack, but it has 8 wires instead of 4. We'll use this to get you on the network. You'll also need Java installed.
This event is for everyone to have fun at, to learn to work together and to have a great time playing an awesome game. Bullies won't be tolerated, but we'll thank you for your money as you're escorted out!
