We're not trying to take the fun out of the game, in fact, we want everyone to have a great time! There's common courtesy, and because we've got kids as young as seven, we want to make sure that we're looking out for little ears and eyes, too.
Seriously. Bad attitude and you're going home. We're going to show fellow gamers and the volunteers running the event respect. At all times.
Same goes for the online banter. There is a chat console in the game where you can type messages to each other. Friendly chatter and taunting is okay, but everything you say is being recorded on our game servers and cyber bullies will be asked to leave immediately and will be reported to the police.
Note that griefing will also be considered to be cyber-bullying, and while we won't report griefing to the police, you will be asked to leave.
Have a good attitude! We're all here to win, but even if you don't, try to keep a positive tone to your actions and behaviors!
There will be no tolerance of horse play, monkey play, rough-housing, pushing, lolly-gagging or nilly-nabbering.
I know we really shouldn't have to say it, but there are to be absolutely no materials inappropriate on your computer that would not be suitable for kids as young as 7. No movies, backgrounds, audio with explicit lyrics or photos depicting anything inappropriate. The chaperones will use their discretion and ask you to comply; if you don't, you'll be asked to leave without a refund.
We will be gracious guests of the East End Community Centre. Everyone who comes will be expected to clean up wrappers, snacks, napkins and spills. If you're asked to clean up, please pitch in.
Again, in the interest of the event, the fun that we want everyone to have and out of respect for each other and the community centre, you just got to listen to the chaperones. We'll do our best to keep things fun, but if for any reason you are asked to listen and you don't, you'll be asked to leave. There will be absolutely no refunds for anyone asked to leave.
